So you may have heard a lot about MAC's Lipstick in Rebel. It is probably one of the most popular lipsticks by MAC.
I finally bought this beauty around a month ago knowing I had wanted it for a long time. Reason behind the delayed purchase was the fact it looks so dark and the thought of myself looking uber vampire-ish scared me slightly. But I got it and I am so glad I did.
It looks so scary in the bullet but when applied it looks much lighter and more raspberry toned. The great thing about this particular shade is that it is generally perfect for any skin tone. The paler the skin the more dramatic it would look, so it's fantastic for a night out. I would only wear it for nights out, as you may know, I am not a brights kind of gal.
This lipstick has a satin finish so it isn't too drying on the lips, I would definitely still use a good lip balm underneath to stop the lipstick drying and looking all cakey especially if worn for long periods of time.
The staying power is somewhat incredible. It lasts hours so you will be safe on a night out, even if drinking and eating. If worn over a lip pencil it would last even longer on the lips and would also stop the lipstick from smudging round the edges.
The price of MAC lipsticks have gone up recently and with each one being priced at £15.00 it is getting harder to purchase these. :( I have however found a similar shade by Rimmel which is in 080 "One of a Kind". The lipstick looks lighter in the bullet compared to MAC's Rebel but comes out more purple on the skin. The shades are still very similar so if you are on a budget I would definitely recommend checking out the Rimmel shade.

I hope you enjoyed this post, I apologise again for not writing much recently. Hopefully the cold boring nights to come will get me back in the blogging world. :)
